We're starting the our latest challenge this month and time is winding down! The Challenge begins Monday, March 28th but you need to have your application in by March 21st. We are doing something a little different this time. We will be featuring a 21 Day Challenge. This is an excellent time to start eating healthy, getting in shape and getting ready for Summer! It takes three weeks to get into a habit and his will be a great beginning on your fitness journey. If you have more weight to lose than what you lose in the 21 Day Challenge, just keep up with what you were doing for the 21 days. We will be including a 21 day challenge each month. You will meet new friends and there will be prizes!
In our Cowgirl Fit Challenges, we team you up with a partner to help each other in this challenge. You can come in with a friend or we will select your teammate. In our challenges, it's a great way to not only get fit, but to make new friends!

Superbowl Recipes (Light)
Are you looking forward to the big Superbowl game, but don't want to blow your diet? Here are some of our favorite recipes. The dip has minimal fat and low calories. The chips have no oil, so you are eating very low fat, low calorie chips. Enjoy...
Low Fat Layer Taco Dip
1 Can fat free refried beans
1 Can black beans
8 oz. fat free sour cream
Salsa
Low Fat cheddar or mozzarella cheese
Chopped tomatoes and onions
In a shallow bowl or pan layer and spread refried beans, then black beans, sour cream, top with cheddar cheese, tomatoes and onions. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Light Tortilla Chips
Round Corn Tortillas
Pinch of Salt
Cut round tortillas into 8 triangles each. Place them on a cookie sheet sprinkling lightly with salt. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread with Protein Powder

Yogurt Ranch Dip
Yogurt Ranch Dip is low in fat and low in calories and very tasty! A great addition to any snack!
- 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1/2 cup packed light or dark brown sugar
- 1 and 1/2 cups pumpkin puree (canned or fresh)
- 1/2 cup melted coconut oil
- 2/3 cup (120g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
In a large bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt together until combined. In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs, protein powder, and brown sugar together until combined. Whisk in the pumpkin, and oil. Pour these wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix together using a rubber spatula or a wooden spoon. There will be a few lumps. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.- Pour in bread pan and cook at 350 60-65 minutes.

Winter 2016 Challenge Has Begun!

You should have received an email with our newsletter in it that talked about our Cowgirl Fit Resource Book. It is a great little guide that you can put together yourself that includes, meal ideas, journal entry space and other information. You can view the instructions on how to put your book together here. You can easily print, then cut the pages out and then bind them together with staples, paper clips, or we went to the print shop and spiral bound it for only a couple of dollars. It's a convenient book to take along with you in your handbag.

Here is a quick HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout that you can print off and put on your fridge or wall for easy access. It will give you a sweat and you can do it in the convenience of your living room while it's cold outside. Here's to getting that fit body for summer! Download it here.

Don't forget to drink your water each day! It is an essential part of losing weight. You should be drinking half of your weight in ounces. So if you weigh 150 pounds, you should be drinking 75 ounces of water. It can be hard getting that much water in, but make sure you are drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day. We will be talking about ideas for making your water intake a little easier in the upcoming weeks.
Keep on working hard! It will be worth it!

Let the Summer Challenge Begin!
The Cowgirl Fit Summer Challenge begins tomorrow and we are so excited! It will run from April 20th - May 29th, 40 days of nothing but getting fit and reaching your goals. We have teamed up some great individuals who we think will work very well together.

Cowgirl Fit gives you the opportunity to lose weight and get in shape while making new friends and a chance to win a new pair of Stetson boots! We are not only giving away a pair of Stetson boots to the winning team, but the individual who loses the most percentage of weight. So, if your teammate gets the flu or can't lose as planned, it will not mess up your progress of winning boots!

Meet the Cowgirl Fit Challenge Coaches
To help you throughout the Cowgirl Fit Challenge, we have a couple of coaches that will motivate and bring you some helpful information.
Lauren
Lauren is a Certified Personal Trainer and Health Coach. She is also a past Miss Reno Rodeo, Miss Rodeo Nevada, Top 10 at Miss Rodeo America 2011.
Lauren says, "Starting a fitness journey can be a confusing and overwhelming process. The hardest part can actually be taking that first step out the door and learning to live a healthier lifestyle!

The Cowgirl Fit Challenge Contest is here!
It's time to announce the first Cowgirl Fit Challenge Contest! This will be a 40 day contest beginning February 17th. The contest will run from February 17-March 28, 2014. We are teaming you up with a partner to help you with a great start to your fitness goal! If you would like to be paired up with a friend, please indicate on the application form, or we will randomly select a partner for you that is close to your state.
It will be up to you how you eat and train for this contest. We will however include tips and ideas on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cowgirlfit to help you along the way. Some of the rules are...
Rules:
Contestants will be paired up with random people, unless you clarify in your application who you want to be teamed up with. we will try and accomodate these requests, but there are no guarantees.
You are in charge of how you lose the weight and get in shape. We give you ideas, but you are ultimately the one who makes it happen.
You are responsible for getting in contact with your partner. We will provide the email address and if you want to get further information that is up to you and not Cowgirl Fit. Partners are used to help each other reach their goals. This is a team competition, so if you lose a lot of weight and your partner doesn't, that will hurt you. It is a team weight loss in the end.
The contest will last 40 days, from February 17- March 28th, 2014. You will spend this time eating right and exercising and motivating your partner.
You must submit a "Before" photo to us and your beginning weight. When the 40 days is over, you will submit a new photo of yourself (that is not photoshopped or any other touch ups) and your new weight. You must also submit a photo of the weight of the scales with you standing on it at the end of the contest. These photos must be emailed to info@cowgirlfit.com
You will not hold Cowgirl Fit, Cowgirls In Style Magazine or Country Productions liable for any disagreement, injury or any other result that may come from this contest.
You have until February 10th to sign up!
Prizes
1st Place Prize: One pair of Stetson boots for both teammates that loses the most weight in the 40 days. You will also receive a subscription to Cowgirls In Style magazine.
2nd Place Prize: One pair of Rose Royce jeans for both teammates that lose the most inches and show the most noticable improvements in their photos. You will also receive a subscription to Cowgirls In Style magazine.
3rd Place Prize: A subscription to Cowgirls In Style magazine to the team that we think worked very hard but didn't achieve as much. this means your emails to us will mean a lot as the competition goes along!

Big Announcement Coming?
Ok, so we've been telling you on our facebook page that there is a big announcement coming! I'm not going to let the cat out of the bag just yet, but we are getting a little ansy here at Cowgirl Fit and want to get going on this announcement. We aren't sure if we can wait until we get to 5,000 facebook fans. But, we're less than 320 fans away from 5,000. We can do this!
Just a couple of hints about this announcement that we have coming up... it would be great for you to have a friend in on it too (hint, hint that's why we are wanting you to share us with your friends!) If you don't have a friend in on the announcement, no problem, it will still work.

There could be something in it for you! Like we have been saying... this is an exciting announcement!
